- Ask Ss to answer some questions:

- In your opinion, what is the letter about?
- Introduce the public holidays.

- Ask Ss to read the letter sillently and answer the questions on page 74.
- Call some pairs to ask and answer in front of the class.

- Ask Ss to work in pairs to talk about the public in Viet Nam.
* Pre-listening.
- Set the scene: “In the last lesson, you learned about American celebrations and today you will study further about them. You listen to the tape and write the name of the public holiday in each of these pictures.”
