I/ Presentation:
1) Pre -teach vocabualry:
- (to) sweep - swept - swept : 	quyét , cuốn , tràn qua.	(mime)
- (to) destroy:	phá huỷ	( explanation)
- extensive (adj) :	lớn, rộng lớn	(synonym)
- border (n):	tiếp giáp với	(trans)
	* Checking:	Slap the board
2) Defining and non- defining relative clauses.
- Gives ss 2 sentences and ask them to use relative pronoun Who - Which to combine them.
a) The novel has been lost. You gave me the noval on my birthday.
- The noval which you gave me on my birthday has lost.
b) Vietnam exports rice. Viet Nam is in the south- east asia.
- Viet nam, which is in the South - East Asia, export rice.
* Help Ss to distinguish between defining and non- defining relative clause.
II/ Practice:

- Ask Ss to underline the relative clause in eac sentences then add commas to seprate the non - defining relative clause.

c. Ba, who live in street, like playing the guitar.
d. The novel that you gave me on my birthday has been lost.
e. Neil Amstrong, who first walk on the moon, lives in the USA.
f. The chair that I bought yesterday is broken.
g. Mrs Lien, who sings very well, is my English teacher.
2. Matching:
- Have ss do their exercise in Language focus two on page 81, 82.
Ss match each sentence in A with one in B then use a suitable relative pronoun to join them.

III/ Production:
Writing Have Ss rewrite the sentences and understand clause with their owner clause.

c. Ba, who is my best friend, likes playing the guitars.
