A/ Aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to make and respond to suggestions about what to do before a typhoon.
	- Introduce some new vocabulary related to emergency.
	* Teaching aids: poster
B/ Content:
* Warm up:	brainstorm
	 Preparations for buy food
	 a typhoon
store water
I/ Pre- speaking:
1) Pre- teach vocabulary:
- canned food (n): thức ăn đóng hộp 	(realia)
- candle (n): nến	( realia)
- bucket (n): cái xô	( visual )
- leak (v): lỗ thủng	( visual )
- tie (v): trói, cột	( mime )
- latch (n): cái chốt cửa	( realia )
- ladder (n): cái thang	( visual)
- available (adj): có sẵn	( translation )
 * Checking: What and where
2) Matching:
- Have Ss match the situation with the item that is needed to help.
* Answer key: 
- The market will be closed and no food will be available 
 ( buy some canned food)
- There may be a power cut.
( buying candle / buying matches )
- The water ppes may be damaged by the typhoon.
( Filling all buckets with water )
- There must be strong wind blowing.
( tying the roof to the ground with pegs and ropes)
( checking all the window and door latches )
- Big trees may fall down.

II/ While - speaking:
- Asks Ss to use the expression on page 77 whan talking to one another.

- Ask Ss to work in pairs to talk about what they will buy or do to prepare for a typhoon, explain why.
* Example:
S1: I think you should buy some canned food before a typhoon.
S2: I think so, too. The market will be closed and no food will be available.
III/ Post - speaking:
	Discussion
- Devide class into four groups. Ask Ss to think and choose the three most important things to do to prepare for a typhoon and say why.
- T. goes around and help Ss, encourage Ss to give their own ideas.
IV/ Homework:
	- Learn by heart vocabulary.
	- Do exercise in work book.
	- Prepare for Listening lesson.
