I. Pre- listening.
1) Pre- teach vocabulary.
- a route : tuyến đường , lộ trình	( explanation )
- a pond : cái hồ, ao	( visual )
- a parkinglot = carpark : khu vực để xe 	( explanation )
- (to) pick s.o up : đón ai	( trans )
- (to) drop s.o off : trả khách xuống	( “ )
- an airport : sân bay	( example )
- gas station : nhà ga	( explanation )
- highway : đường cao tốc	( example )
- bridge : cây cầu	( visual )
_ checking: 	R.O.R
2) Prediction.
 Tell students:
You are going to listen about a trip to the countryside Ba’s village.
Ss predict what are the places on the map.

II. While- listening:
_ Get Ss to listen to the tape for the first time to check their predictions.

Note: Ss notice the word for direction : north, west, left, right, opposite................

III. Post- listening:
Picture dictation.	Review preposition : next to , between, in the midlle, beside
Give Ss instructions to draw.
There is a pond in the middle of the picture.
There is a house to the north of the pond.
There are some trees beside the house.
To the south of the pond, there is a highway.
There are some chickens next to the highway.
There is a water buffalo between the pond and the highway.
_ Let ss listen several times .
_ Ask them to show their pictures.
_ Ask some Ss to come to the board and draw if there is time.
IV. Homework:
_ Learn by heart vocabulary.
_ Do exercise in work book.
_ Prepare for reading lesson.
