I. Objectives.
 - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know the usage, form of Adverb of manner.
1. Language focus:
 - New words: walking competition, organize, participant, regular activity
 - Adverb of manner: Adjective + ly = Adverb.

 - Listening.
 - Reading.
 - Communicate.

 * Question: Write the name of the sports that you know.

(+) Pre-teach grammar:
- Set the scene: “In English in order to express how someone do something we use adverbs of manner. Most of these adverbs are formed as follows: 
 Adj + ly = adv”
Eg: skillful -> skillfully
 slow -> slowly
 bad -> badly
 quick -> quickly
 safe -> safely
Note:

 Hard hard
 Early early
- Adverbs of manner usually stand after verb.
(+) Pre-teach vocabulary:
- walking competition: cuộc thi đi bộ
- to organize: tổ chức
- participant: người tham dự
- regular activity: hoạt động đều đặn
- instead of: thay vì
- motorbike trip/ bicycle trip: chuyến đi dã ngoại bằng xe máy/ xe đạp
- inexpensive: không đắt
- ability: khả năng
- Ask Ss to copy, repeat, read out and learn them by heart at home.
* Practice.

- Play the tape three times, ask Ss to listen to the tape.
- Call some Ss to read again.
- Correct their pronunciation.
(+) A2 - P.132. Read. Then answer the questions.
- Set the scene: “You are going to read a passage about walking – one of the most popular sport activities. You read and answer the questions in your book.”
- Ask Ss to read the text silently.
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to answer the questions on page 132.
- Call some pairs to practice in front of the class.
- Correct their mistakes and give keys.

b) The writer's school team won the first prize; they were so happy and wanted to keep the activity.
c) One activity is a 5 km walking to the beach on Sunday morning; and the other is walk-to-school day.
d) It's 5 km from school to the beach.
e) Wednesday is the WFF (walk to school day)
f) Members living near school often take part in the WTS day.
