Put the children in teams of 6. Ask one child from each team to come to you. Show them a sentence e.g. You are sleeping. The child goes back to their team and mimes the action- no speaking. The first team to guess gets a point. Repeat with different children. Development aShow the celebrations flashcards one by one and elicit the words from the children. a The children look at the pictures in exercise 1 on page 48 in their workbooks. Elicit the vocabulary. The children do exercise 1. aAsk the children to look at the pictures in exercise 2 and ask them what they can see. The children do exercise 2. Consolidation aWriting practice: In pairs ask the children to make their own crosswords using the one in exercise 2 as an example. They choose 8 words from unit 6 and this lesson and the previous lesson. aThe pairs exchange crosswords and complete them.
