GRAMMAR
The simple present tense – Thì hiện tại đơn
Thì hiện tại đơn diễn tà một thói quen hay hành động thường xuyên xảy ra ở hiện tại. 
Trạng từ nhận biết: every day, every morning, usually, always, often, sometimes, seldom, never
TOBE:
Khẳng định:
S + am/is/are +..
Phủ định:
S + am/is/are + not +..
Nghi vấn:
Am/is/are + S+.?
Ex: I am a student?
 I am not a student
 Are you a student?
She is a teacher
She is not = isn’t a teacher
Is she a teacher?
We are doctors
We are not = aren’t doctors
Are we doctors?
With ordinary verbs – Với động từ thường 
Khẳng định:
S + Vs/es
Phủ định:
S + do not/does not +Vs/es
Nghi vấn:
Do/Does + S + V?
Ex: I play video games every night
 I don’t play video games every night
 Do you play video games every night?
She goes to school on Sundays
She doesn’t go to school on Sundays
Does she go to school on Sundays?
* Notes:
+ Với những động từ tận cùng bằng O, CH, S, X,SH, Z chủ từ ngôi số 3 số ít ta phải thêm “es” 
Ex: go – goes à He goes to school watch – watches à She watches TV
+ Những động từ tận cùng bằng “y” ta phải chuyển “y” thành “i” sau đó thêm “es” vào (trước “y” là một phụ âm
Ex: study – studies à He studies English at school
The present progressive tense – Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn
- Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn tả hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói
- Thường có những trạng từ đi kèm như: now, right now, at the moment, at present, at this time
Khẳng định:
S + am/is/are + Ving
Phủ định:
S + am/is/are + not + Ving
Nghi vấn:
Am/is/are + S + Ving?
Ex: He is listening to music now
He is not listening to music
Is he listening to music?
They are playing soccer at the present
They are not playing soccer at the present
Are they playing soccer at the present?
Modal verbs: Động từ khiếm khuyết
(+) S + can/must + V
(-) S + can not/must not + V
(?) Can/must + S + V?
Can: có thể (chỉ khả năng)
Can not = can’t: không thể (không được phép
Must: phải (chỉ sự cần thiết)
Must not = mustn’t: không cần thiết (chỉ sự cấm đoán)
Ex: My sister can drive a car (Chị tôi có thể lái xe)
 I am not fine. I must go to bed now (Tôi không khỏe. Tôi phải đi ngủ ngay bây giờ
Adjectives : Tính từ
- Tính từ đứng sau động từ “tobe” và đứng trước danh từ
Ex: The house is beautiful
 It is a nice house
Prepositions: giới từ
On : on the street , on the table ,on + thứ , 
In : in a house , in the city , in Ba Ria city , in the country  
At : at home , at school, , at + giờ ( chỉ thời gian ) 
To the left of / to the right of / in front of / behind / opposite / near / next to / between / among 
 Articles: Mạo từ
A/AN (một) – đứng trước danh từ số ít điếm được Ex: a pen, a chair, an armchair, an apple
SOME/ANY – đứng trước danh từ đếm được hoặc danh từ đếm được ở số nhiều
Some dung trong câu khẳng định, any dùng trong phủ định và nghi vấn
Ex: I have some books
Are there any flowers in the yard?
Question words?
1. Hỏi thăm sức khoẻ:
- How are you? 
→ I’m fine, thank you/thanks. And you?
2. Hỏi tuổi:
- How old + be (is / are) + S?
→ S + be (am / is / are) + số tuổi + year(s) old.
3. Hỏi tên:
 - What is your name? → My name is 
 his name? → His name is 
 her name? → Her name is 
- What are your/ their names?
→ Our names are  /
 → Their names are .
4. Hỏi nghề nghiệp:
- What + do / does + S + do?
→ S + be + a / an + N (danh từ chỉ nghề nghiệp) 
5. Hỏi giờ: 
a. Hỏi giờ chung (công cộng) 
- What time is it?= What’s the time?
+ Giờ đúng (chẵn): It’s + giờ 
+ Giờ hơn: It’s + giờ + phút = It’s + phút + past + giờ 
+ Giờ kém: It’s + giờ + phút = It’s + phút + to + giờ.
b. Hỏi giờ hành động:
- What time + do / does + S + V (bare – inf)?
→ S + V s / es  at + giờ 
6. Hỏi về nơi chốn: 
 a. Sống ở đâu:
 - Where + do / does + S + live?
→ S + live (s) + nơi chốn 
b. Hỏi làm việc ở đâu:
- Where + do / does + S + work?
→ S + work (s) + nơi chốn.
7. Hỏi về vật / đồ vật:
- What is it / this / that?
→ It / this / that + is + a/ an + danh từ số ít 
- What are they / these / those?
→ They / these / those are + danh từ số nhiều.
8. Hỏi về số lượng: 
- How many + danh từ đ đ sồ nhiều + are there?
→ There is + a / an / one  →There are + two / three 
9. Hỏi về người: 
- Who + be + S?
 → S + be 
10. Hỏi về tầng lầu mấy: 
- Which floor + be + S + on?
 → S + be + on the first floor. second / third / fourth floor 
11. Hỏi về trình độ / lớp học: 
Which grade / class + be + S + in?
→S + be + in + grade / class
12. Tiết học:
 a. Hỏi hôm nay có môn gì:
- What do / does + S + have + today?→ S + have / has + môn học 
b. Hỏi có môn gì vào thứ mấy:
- Which classes / What + do / does + S + have on?
→ S + have / has + môn học + on + thứ.
c. Hỏi khi nào có môn hỏi về thời gian):
 - When + do / does + S + have + môn học?
→ S+ have / has + it (môn học) + on + thứ.
13. Hỏi về phương tiện đi lại: - How do / does + S + go / travel + to ?.
→ S + go(es) / travel (s) + to by + phương tiện
(Đi bộ: on foot).
 14. Hỏi đang làm gì: 
- What + be + S + doing?
→ S + be (am / is / are)+ V – ing
