1. Hiện tại đơn (Simple Present)

- Diễn đạt sự thật luơn đúng, chân lý khoa học, thời gian biểu, lịch trình, thĩi quen 
-Các phĩ từ thường dung là Every day; every week ..; always, often, usually, sometimes, seldom, rarely, never  ; Once/twice a week,
Lưu ý: Ta thêm "es" sau các động từ tận cùng là : O, S, SS, X, CH, SH; + es
Cách đọc đuơi “S” của động từ khi chủ ngữ là ngơi thứ 3, số ít:
1. Đọclà /Z/ khi đt tận cùng là VD: goes, buys, comes, sees, saves, plays
2. Đọc là /S/ khi động từ tận cùng là các âm : /f/, /t/, /k/, /p/ VD: Eg: laughs; works; stops; wants
3. Đọc là /IZ/ khi động từ tận cùng là các âm: /ss/, /sh/, /zz/, /x/, /z/, /se/, /ce/, /ch/ VD: buzzes, washes, kisses, loses, watches, .
2. Hiện tại tiếp diễn ( Present continuous)
KĐ: I am + Ving
 He, she, it is +Ving
 We, you, they are  + Ving
PĐ: S + am/is/are + not + Ving
NV: (Từ để hỏi) + Am/ is/ are + S + Ving ?
- Diễn tảmột h/đ đang diễn ra tại thời điểm (đang nĩi) hay việc mà ta đã sắp xếp để thực hiện trong tương lai.

*** Phân biệt 4 động từ: Play, Do, Have and study.
 - Play: chơi mơn thể thao cĩ dụng cụ: Play football, volleyball.
 - Do : đi với mơn thể thao khơng cĩ dụng cụ: Do judo, do yoga
 - Study: học mơn học nào đĩ: study English.

*. So sánh hơn: a) Tính từ ngắn (là những từ 1 âm tiết, nếu 2 âm tiết thì tận cùng là “y” (trừ “ly”), “er”, “ow”)
