Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students can: - Read for specific information about future houses and appliances - Talk about houses in the future(type, location, surroundings, appliances) - Pronounce the sounds / dr/ and / tr/ correctly in isolation and in context II. Language Focus: 1. Vocabulary: the lexical items related to “Our houses in the future”. 2. Structures: Will + V for the future and might + V for future possibility III. Method: Communicative approach IV. Teaching aids: Course book, CD player, picture. V. Procedures: Teacher’s Activities Ss’ Activities Content I. Warm-up(4’) - Ask ss to look at the picture and discuss with a partner. - Call some ss to give their answers 1. What type of house do you think it is? 2. Where do you think the house is? 3. What can you see around the house? 4. What can you see in the house? - Work in pairs - Give their answers 1. It’s a village 2. On the ocean 3. A helicopter, trees, a garden, a swimming pool, 4. Robots in the kitchen, a TV, a computer, a hi-fi steoreo, in the living room Task 1: Look at the picture and discuss with a partner II. Practice(21’) - Ask ss to work individually to reread the text again and match the phrases in A with correct ones in B - Call a st to read the text aloud in front of class “ Work in pairs to match the phrases in A with correct ones in B” - Have some ss match - Reread and give feedback - Asks ss to note and underline where they find the information that helps them answer the questions. SS compare the answers with his/ her partner before discussing them as a class “ Work in pairs to underline the main informations and answer the question in task 4” - Call some ss to answer the questions by playing a game: Lucky number - Individual work - Ss read the text quickly then check their ideas. - Read quickly for the main information. - Copydown - Individual work - A st reads the text aloud - Pair-work - Some ss match - Reread and write down - Underline to question and answer - Playing game and answer the question UNIT 10: OURS HOUSE IN THE FUTURE Lesson 5: Skills 1 Task 2: Quickly read the text. Draw a picture of your future house, then describe the houses with your partners. Your partners will draw the house you describe. Example: My house will be on the Moon.
