Matching: - Ask Ss to complete the expressions in column A by using one of the lines in B (page 49) then compare with their partners. - Have Ss match the lines in B with A so that they have sentence of persuasion. Example: I think we should use banana leaves to wrap food . * To make a persuasion: - I think you should .......................... - Won’t you ................................. - It would be better if you ......................... - Can I persuade you to ...................... - Why don’t you ........................ - Why not ............................? - What about / How about + V(ing)? * Use: To express persuation. II/ While - speaking: Have Ss call out one of their sentences are finished. * Example: - I think you should use banana leaves to wrap food. - Won’t yoy use banana leaves to wrap food. - Why don’t you turn off the light before going to bed? - It would be better if you go to school or go to work by bike. - Can I persuade you to check all the faucet before going out? - Why not put gabage bins around the school yard? - What about using public buses instead of motorbike? * Questionare: - Let Ss work in pairs to answer the questions in the questionare. - T. gives the feedback, write some possible answers on the board. III/ Post : Language focus 4. Let Ss work in pairs and join the pair of sentences together using If clause * Answer: 1. e: If we pollute the water, we will have no fresh water to use 2. a: If you cut down the yrees in the forests, there will be big floods every year 3. c: Language focus 4. Let Ss work in pair to complete these sentences a. If the rice paddies are polluted, rice plants die b.If we go on litering, the environment will become seriously polluted * Exhibition: Discuss about what do you do to protect environment. - Ss in groups have opinions, the secretary write on the poster. - Ss stick 4 posters on the wall and Ss go around the classroom to see. IV/ Homework: - Learn by heart vocabulary. - Do exercise in work book. - Prepare for listening lesson.
