A.Aims : By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to practice in planing the content of a letter and write an informal letter using the example as a guide.
-Teaching aids:	poster, an envelope with a letter in it.
B. Content:
I. Pre- writing.
* Warm up :	Chatting
? Have you ever visited any other places in Viet Nam.
? When did you go.
? How did you get there.
? Did you visit any places of interest.
? Did you buy anything.
? When you are away from home, do you keep in touch? How?
T. asks Ss to answer the questions above.
- Imagine you are visiting your relatives or friends in another part of Viet Nam or a diffrent country.
-T. asks Ss on their own answer the questions.
? Where are you now. How did you get there?
? Who did you meet.
? What have you done.
? What places have you visited.
? Who have you met.
? What kind of food have you tried.
? What souvernirs have you buy.
? How do you feel now.
? What do you think interest you most.
? When are you returning home.
- T. asks two or three Ss to tell the class about their visit.
- Ss work in pairs to talk about to each other their visit.
- Remind Ss about the format of the personal letter by asking the questions.
1. Heading:
writer`s address and the date.
2. Opening:
Dear..........,
3. Body of the letter
4. Closing:
your friend / regard / love.
II. While- writing.
T. asks Ss to write the letter to their family, telling them about their visit.
- Have Ss to look at the outline on page11 and asks what part of the letter are they going to write?
	-Body of the letter.
- Asks Ss to follow the outline to write their own letter.
- Have them to swap their letter and compare with their partners, correct if they can.
* Example: 
+ First paragraph :
I arrived at Danang airport / train station / bus station.
at 2 pm / 8am / late in the afternoon / midnight...........
on tuesday / wedsday.......Hoa / Nam ......... met me at..........
then she / he took me home by taxi / mortobike / bike.............
+ Second paragraph:
I have visited many places like the beach , supermarket, the water park............
I have tried different food: sea food.........
I have met many people . They are very friendly.
I have bought many souvernirs for my parents and friends.
+ Third paragraph:
I fell so happy and I enjoy myself so much.
The people here are so nice and friendly, the foods are so delicious and the sights are so beautiful.
I`ll leave Da Nang at 2 pm / 7 pm.......next Thursday / Sunday......
and I will arrive home at 11 pm / 5 am .......
Please to pick me up at the airport / train station........

III. Post- writing:
Correction.
T. chooses some letters to correct in class .
- Asks Ss to read their letter and let them correct .
IV. Homework:
- Rewrite the letter in to your notebooks.
- Prepare for language focus : new words and structures.
