Let Ss practice pronouncing the different dates after you to hear the diffence. Then ask Ss to write down 1-4 on thier notebooks. Read the four sentences and have Ss write down A, B or C for the date they heard.
Paper was invented in the 6th century.
In the 1st century there were no newspapers.
In the 1950s, TV was invented.
Radio became popular in the mid 1920s

II/ While- listening:
- Tell Ss they are going to hear a conversation about different types of media. 
Chau is doing an assignment about the media , she wants to ask her father some information to do the assignment.
- Let Ss listen to fill in the chart on p. 43.

III/ Post- listening:
Put the list of dates on the board next to the pictures of media invention, but mix up.
Practice pronouncing dates. Use the dilogue to make guesses about when each thing was invented.
