Write A/ Aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to write short paragraph describing a story happened in the past. - a picnic countryside based on the given words. B/ Content: * Warm up: Chatting - Have you ever gone on a picnic? - When did you go? - Where did you go? - How did you get there? - What did you do? - When did you come back home? - Did you enjoy it? ( Ss answer all the questions ) I. Pre- writing: 1) Pre- teach vocabulary: - blanket (n) : cái chăn ( explanation) - ( to ) lay out : trải dọn (mime) - (to) gather : tụ tập (situation) - site (n) : địa điểm ( translation) - blindman’s bluff (n) : trò bịt mắt bắt dê ( visual) - hurriedly (adv) : một cách vội vàng ( situation) - (to) decide to do S.T : quyết định làm một việc gì đó (translation) * checking: R.O.R 2)Ordering the pictures. T. shows the pictures and asks Ss to read the cues one by one. Have Ss describe the picture to their partners. Note: the past events : V in the past Ask Ss to talk to class about what they see in each picture . _ Go on doing the same for the rest pictures . II. While – writing: - Ss write the passage entiled “a country picnic” - Write the starting sentence on the board : “ It was a beutifull day , my friend and I decided to go on a picnic.” - Ss use the pictures and cues to write the passage . * Sugguested writing : It was a beautifull day , my friend and I decided to go on a picnic . We took a bus to the countryside and then walked about 20 minutes to the picnic side next to the river . We put down the blankets and laid out the food. After the meal we played the games : What song is it? and blindman’s bluff. Late in the afternoon we went fishing . We enjoyed our picnic . When we looked at the time , it was nearly 6.30 pm . We hurriedly gathered our things and ran to the bus stop. We were lucky to catch the last bus and we arrived home very late in the everning. III. Post- reading: - Ask Ss to wrap their writing. - Compare with their partners and correct. - Exhibition : Choose some writing to correct in front of class. IV. Homework: - Learn by heart vocabulary. - Finish writing in notebook. - Prepare for Language focus.
