I. Objectives.
 - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to practice the diseases such as: flu, stomachache, headache.. and the words such as: sickness, absence, account for.

- Ask Ss to work in groups of 4 as instructed, fill in the names of students in the group and tick the illness which each of the students had. After practicing, all the groups combine the results to find out which illness was the most common.
- Ask Ss to answer these questions:
* According to the survey, what was the least common illness?
* What was the most common illness?
(+) B3- P. 111. Listen. Then complete the table.
. Use tape and cassette.
- Set the scene: “We are going to listen to a report telling you the days' absence due to sickness of 7A. You listen to it and complete the table by writing the days in each column.
- Play the tape 3 times, ask Ss to listen.
- Explain some new words:
+ total: tổng số
+ absence: sự vắng mặt, nghỉ học
+ due to: bởi vì
+ problem: vấn đề
+ account for: chiếm trong tổng số
. Use the extra-board
- Hang the extra-board on the board and ask Ss to work in groups to do the exercise.
- Call some Ss from the groups to give their answers.
- Correct their mistakes and give keys.
