Lesson 4: B2, b3 – at the post office.
I. Objectives.
 - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know the structure asking the information in the post office and the price.
1. Language focus:
 - How much + do/ does + S + cost?
 - Is/ are + S?
 - S + would like + V-infi./ noun.
2. Language skills:
 - Listening.
 - Communicate.
II. Teaching aids.
Teacher: - Text book, teacher's book, lesson plan, tape and cassette.
Students: - Text book, notebook.
III. Procedure.

 2. Check up: ( 2 Ss ).
 * Question: Practice the asking and answering the distance ( 2 places ).
 * Answers: Students' answers.
 3. New lesson:

* Warm up.
. Chatting:
- Ask Ss to answer some questions:
+ Is the post office near your house?
+ How far is it from your house to the post office?
+ What do you usually want to send?
* Presentation.
- Introduce new words:
Local stamps: tem thư trong nước
Overseas mail: thư quốc tế
Phone card: thẻ điện thoại
Postcard: bưu thiếp
Writing pad: tập giấy viết
- Ask Ss to write down, repeat, read out and learn them by heart at home.
* Practice.
(+) B2- P.84. Listen and read.
. Use the tape and cassette.
- Set the scene: “You will hear a conversation between Nga and Hoa. They are on the way to the post office.You listen to the tape and guess what they want.”
- Play the tape twice, then ask Ss to listen to the tape.
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to answer the questions on page 84.
- Call some pairs to give their answers.
- Correct their mistakes if necessary.
(+) B3- P. 84. Complete the dialogue.
- Set the scene: “You will read a conversation between Hoa and a post office clerk but there is some unfinished information. Now you read and complete the conversation.”
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to complete the dialogue.
- Call some pairs to practice the completed dialogue in front of the class.
- Correct their mistakes if necessary.
- Give keys.

b) She needs stamps for overseas mail because she has a pen pal in America.
c) She needs a phone card to phone her parents once a week.

- Some pairs practice their dialogue in front of the class.

4.Drill.
 - Repeat the main knowledge in the lesson.
