* Warm up.
. Chatting:
- Ask Ss to answer some questions:
 + What time do your classes start?
 + What time do they finish?
 + How many hours a day do you do your homework?
* Pre-listening.
- Set the scene: “You will hear a conversation between Hoa and her uncle about school work.”
- Introduce some new phrase words:
. To be late for something: muộn để làm gì.
. That takes two hours to do 
something: mất 2 tiếng để làm gì.
. Summer vacation (AE) = Summer holiday (BE): nghỉ hè.
. To last: kéo dài.
- Ask Ss to learn them by heart.
- Correct their pronunciation.
* While-listening.
. Use the tape and cassette.
- Play the tape twice, then ask Ss to listen to the tape.
- Call some pairs to practice the dialogue in front of the class.
- Ask Ss to work in pairs: Ask and answer the questions on page 73.
