Play slowly reveal with the flashcards 81 – 86.Cover the front of each card as you show it and uncover slowly as the children guess what the activity is. a Ask the children some questions about the story from the last lesson e.g. Where were the people? Where was the prize – giving? aRecording 90: Play track 90 and pause after each dialogue. The children repeat. a Get the children to think of actions for the story from lesson 1. aRecording 90: Play the recording again and the children do the actions. aPut the children in groups of 4 and ask them to role play the story. Development aThe children look at the pictures in ex 2 and ask them what they can see. aThe children point to the pictures as you read the sentences. aOn the board write the sentences from exercise 2. Ask the children to repeat after you, whole class and individual children. aRub out the verbs in each sentence and write the following on the board – giraffes, women, and ask the children to repeat the sentences with the nouns on the board. aWrite: The children look at the pictures in exercise 3.What can they see in each picture. Do the first sentence as an example. The children do exercise 3. aPair work: In pairs the children ask and answer about the pictures e.g. How many men are there? Do this one as an example. Consolidation aWrite: Ask the children to do U 9 on p76 Grammar reference.
