Lead - in: Inform the class of the lesson objectives: getting to know the topic, vocabulary about environmental impacts, and the use of reported speech.

 - Play the recording. Ask Ss to listen and read.

Call some pairs to read aloud and others listen and give comments.

Activity 1:
- Ask Ss to work individually to complete the sentences.
- Go round to offer help.
- Let Ss share the answers with their partners. Then check and correct the answers.

- Check to make sure Ss understand words correctly.
-Let Ss work in pairs to match. Before working in pairs, let them read the information in DO YOU KNOW.? And go through the nouns and the verbs with the class.

Play the tape and let Ss listen. Play again with pauses for them to repeat each word.
+ Can give the meaning of the words if necessary.
