Teachers' Day

Ted Robinson has been worried all the week. Last Tuesday he receives a letter from the local police. On the letter he was asked to call at the station. Ted wondered why he was wanted by the police but him went to the station yesterday, and now he is not worried any more. Lan took an examination in English as a second language at Royal English College to be admitted to the English course. 	Over the past 600 years, English has grown from a language of few speakers to become the dominant language of international communication. English as we know it today emerged around 1350, after having incorporated many elements of French that were introduced following the Norman invasion of 1066.
