Grammar 
I. Present Simple tense. (Thì hiện tại đơn)
* Usage:
1. Diễn tả một hành động hay một sự việc thường xảy ra.
2. Diễn tả một sự việc có thực xảy ra trong một thời gian dài.
3. Diễn tả một sự thật hay một chân lí thời nào cũng đúng.
4. Nói về một hành động trong tương lai đã được đưa vào chương trình, kế hoạch.
5. Nói về tương lai trong các mệnh đề bắt đầu bằng If và When
6. To be used to + noun/ verb-ing được dùng để chỉ một tập quán hoặc thói quen trong hiện tại. 
Dấu hiệu: every, adverbs of frequently (always, usually, often, sometimes, never).
* Form: 
S + Vnt/Vs / es +  
S + don’t/doesn’t + Vnt +  
? (W-H word) + Do/Does + S + Vnt + ...?	 
 S + is / are / am + .....................
* Examples:
1. We go to school every morning except Sundays.
2. They live in Oxford.
3. The sun rises in the east.
4. The last train leaves at 4.45.
5. When it is ready, I’ll give you.
If I come there tomorrow, I’ll phone you.
6. You can say what you like. I’m used to being criticized.
II. Present progressive Tense: (Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn)
Dấu hiệu: Now, at present, at the moment, right now, at this time thường đứng ở cuối câu và Look!, Listen!, Be careful!, Be quite!, .. thường đứng ở đầu câu.
 * Usage:
1. Diễn tả một hành động hay một sự việc đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói.
2. Diễn tả một dự định sẽ thực hiện trong một tương lai gần.
3. Dùng với ý chung để nói về một điều có thể xảy ra ở một thời điểm nào đó.
4. Để nói về những hành động xảy ra không mong đợi hoặc bực mình, được đi với các trạng từ: always, constantly, continuously, forever.
1. I can’t answer the phone. I’m having a bath.
2. He normally goes to work by car, but his car has broken down. So he is coming to work by train this week.
3. I am going to the cinema with my father tonight.
4. She looks lovely when she is smiling.
5. You are always talking in class, Tom.
* Form: 	- S + is / am/ are + V-ing + 	
	- S + is / am/ are + not + V-ing + 	 	 
	- ? (W-H word) + Is / Am / Are + S + V-ing + ? 
* Lưu ý:
+ Những động từ tận cùng là chữ “e” thì ta phải bỏ “e” rồi mới thêm “ing”
+ Động từ có một âm tiết, nếu tần cùng là một phụ âm, trước nó là một nguyên âm thì ta phải gấp đôi phụ âm cuối rồi mới thêm “ing”.
III. The simple future tense: (Thì tương lai đơn)
(+) S + will / shall + Vnt 
(-) S + won’t / shan’t + Vnt 
(?) Will / Shall + S + Vnt ?.
Yes, S + will / shall. /No, S + won’t / shan’t.
- Thường có các trạng từ: soon, tomorrow, tonight, next week /month/year  one day/ hope, promise, sure, think 
B. Structures:
I. Comparative of adjectives: (so sánh của tính từ).
1. Comparative: (so sánh hơn)
a. Short adjectives: S1 + to be + Adjective- er + than + S2
b. Long adjectives: S1 + to be + more + Adjective + than + S2 
* Tính từ đặc biệt:
	- good → better	: tốt hơn
	- bad → worse	: xấu hơn, kém hơn
	- far → farther 	 : xa hơn
2. Superlatives: (so sánh nhất)
a. Short adjectives: S + the + adjective- est 
b. Long adjectives: S + the most + adjective
* Tính từ đặc biệt:
	- good / well → the best	: tốt nhất, khoẻ nhất
	- bad → the worst	: xấu nhất, kém nhất
	- far → the farthest / the furthest	: xa nhất

III. Những từ để hỏi (Question words): 
What: gì, cái gì?
	Ex: What is your name? - My name is Nam.
Where: ở đâu?
	Ex: Where do you live? - I live on Nguyen Duy Trinh Street
When: khi nào?
	Ex: When do you have English? - I have English on Monday.
What time: mấy giờ?
	Ex: What time do you get up? 	- I get up at five.
Who: ai?
	Ex Who is that? - It is Mr Nam.
How: như thế nào, bằng cách nào?
 	Ex: How are you? – I’m fine, thanks.
 	Ex: How do you go to school? - I go to school by bike.
How many + Ns + are there + ? 
	- There is + a/an/one + N +  
	- There are + số đếm + Ns + .
	Ex: How many people are there in your family? - There are four
	Ex: How many books are there on the table? - There is one.
Which + N: cái nào?
	Ex: Which class are you in? - I’m in class 6A
IV. Prepositions: under, near, next to, behind, between, opposite, in front of 
V. What about / How about + V – ing ? = Why don’t we +V-inf?
VI. Let’s + Vnt. = Shall we + Vnt ....?
VII. I’d like + to –Vnt = I want + to –Vnt 
VIII. Enjoy + V- ing = Like + V- ing / to –Vnt 
IX. Modal verbs: Must, mustn’t, can, can’t, should, shouldn’t + V-bare infinitive
Should + V–bare infinitive. = Ought to + V–bare infinitive.
X. Comparison of Nouns (so sánh của danh từ)
 ­So sánh nhiều hơn của danh từ đếm được: 
S1 + V(s/es) + more + Ns + than + S2 
- So sánh nhiều hơn của danh từ không đếm được: 
S1 + V(s/es) + more + uncountable noun + than + S2 
 ­So sánh ít hơn của danh từ đếm được: S + V(s/es) + fewer + N s + than + S2 
- So sánh ít hơn của danh từ không đếm được: S + V(s/es) + less + N + than + S2.
 Ex: He works 72 hours a week. His wife works 56 hours a week.
 à He works more hours than his wife.
 à His wife works fewer hours than he (does).
 Ex: I drink two cups of tea. Lan drinks three cups of tea a day.

XI. Đưa ra lời đề nghị, gợi ý:
Để đưa ra lời đề nghị hay một lời gợi ý, ta dùng 1 trong 3 cấu trúc sau:
Dùng câu mệnh lệnh “Let’s.” (chúng ta hãy.)

1. SPORTS AND GAMES:
	There are a lot of kinds of sports but football is my favourite one. I like football because I like team sports. I like the competition and the feelings of playing to win. Besides, playing football is good for my health because it helps me to keep fit. 
I usually play football with my cousins or my friends after school or at the weekend. I also like watching football matches on TV with my father. The team I like best is Barcelona and Messi is my idol because he is handsome.
2.Your favorite TV programme:
	My favorite TV program is Hello Jadoo - a famous program. I like this program because it is very funny and entertaining. It's on Disney Channel at 5pm from Tuesday to Saturday every week. I always watch it . This program is about a cute girl, funny and intelligent but quite lazy and her good-hearted friends. Through it is a cartoon, It developed communication skills, and life skills. I wish cartoon will be more and more meaningful.
3.The environment:
	Now there are many problems of environmental pollution such as water pollution, air pollution, soil pollution, noise pollution and deforestation but I think the most serious problem is rubbish. The rubbish is not good for health and environment. We should reduce the rubbish in the activities daily. Firstly, we need to reuse things such as: bottles, jars, cans and bags.Secondly, we can recycle the cans to make school things. Finally, we use the reusable things such as: paper bags, clothing bags instead of plastic bags. So we can protect the environment with some little actions. I think people can do it to have a better life.
