Our examinations were over. The students of our class decided to go on a picnic on the side of a river. Our class teacher agreed to accompany us. We reached the school compound early in the morning. All of us had brought food. We also carried other things. 
We started at 6 a.m by the hired bus. We arrived at the picnic around at 9 a.m. We made groups and played various games. When we were tired, we ate our lunch. In the afternoon, my friend, Lan entertained us with his sweet songs. I told them a few anecdotes and made them laugh. We had tea and snacks. Then we went fishing and enjoyed boating for some time. 
We left the place at 4.30 p.m and arrive home late in the evening. It was a nice and pleasant outing.

Everyday in radio, on TV, and in the newspapers, we hear, see or read about many problems in the world, for example, pollution problems.
Air pollution is the first kind. It mostly comes from fumes released from motorbikes, cars, airplanes, trains and poisonous gases emitted from factories. Also, waste is dump any where, even in the city where many people are living. The second pollution problem is sea pollution. Many people earn their living from fishing in the sea, and the fish they catch feed many people. But the sea has become so polluted from oil spills and factory wastes that the fish are dying. This pollution is not only killing the fish, but is also affecting those people who eat fish.
Seldom do you find a place nowadays that is not polluted. This problem is growing more difficult everyday. We must find a good solution that make the world a better place to live.

Good evening. Welcome to our Science for Fun Program. This week we’ve received a lot of questions asking about life on the moon. We’ve talked to experts and this is what we’ve found out. There is no water or air on the moon. It is all silentt because there is no air. Of course there will be no music, no sound. There are no rivers and no lakes. At night it is very cold. The temperature goes down to 1510C below zero. But during the day the temperature rises to 1000C above zero.
	There are great round holes on the moon. They look like big lakes. They are called cracters. There are more than 30,000 cracters on the moon. There are also high mountains. The highest mountains on the moon are about 26,000 feet or 8,000 meters high.
 	And here is something very interesting to know: on the moon you weigh one sixth of what you weigh on earth. If you weigh 50 kilos, on the moon you will weigh only a little more than 8 kilos. You will be able to jump very high, even higher than an Olympic Champion. You can take very long steps as well. And...Maybe you won’t sleep very well because one day on the moon lasts for two weeks.
	So, is there life on the moon? I’ll leave the questions for you to answer yourself.
