Các giới từ: on / in/ to/ at/ up/ with.
Ex: 	She admitted stealing his money.
 	This job involves meeting people.

II. Những động từ sau được sử dụng với hai cấu trúc:
advise
recommend
encourage
allow
permit
V + Ving 
V + object+ to V0
He doesn’t allow smoking in his house. 
He doesn’t allow anyone to smoke in his house.
III. Động từ theo sau là Ving hay to-infinitive: (Khơng thay đổi nghĩa)
begin / start : bắt đầu
can’t bear : khơng thể chịu đựng
can’t stand : khơng thể chịu đựng
continue : tiếp tục
dread : kinh sợ
 hate : ghét 
 like : thích
 love : yêu
 neglect : lơ là
 prefer : thích hơn
	Ex: She began working / to work on the project.
IV. Đơng từ theo sau là Ving hoặc to-infinitive: (thay đổi nghĩa)
 Stop + V-ing: dừng hẳn việc gì đĩ 
Stop making noise! (dừng làm ồn)
Stop + to V: dừng để làm gì
I stop to smoke (tơi dừng lại để hút thuốc)
Remember/forget/regret + to V: nhớ/quên/tiếc sẽ phải làm gì (ở hiện tại và tương lai)
Remember to send this letter (hãy nhớ gửi bức thư này). Don’t forget to buy flowers (đừng quên mua hoa đấy)
Remember/forget/regret + V-ing: nhớ/quên/tiếc đã làm gì (ở quá khứ).
I paid her $2. I still remember that. I still remember paying her $2 (tơi nhớ đã trả cơ ấy 2 đơ la).
Try + to V: cố gắng làm gì
I try to pass the exam. (tơi cố gắng vượt qua kì thi)
Try + V-ing: thử làm gì
You should try unlocking the door with this key (bạn nên thử mở cửa với chiếc khĩa này).
Like + V-ing: thích làm gì vì nĩ thú vị, hay, cuốn hút, làm để thưởng thức
I like watching TV.
Like + to V: làm việc đĩ vì nĩ là tốt và cần thiết.
I want to have a job. I like to learn English. Would like + to V: mời ai đi đâu
Prefer + doing something + to + doing something else.
I prefer driving to travelling by train.
Prefer + to do something + rather than (do) something else
I prefer to drive rather than travel by train.
Need + to V: cần làm gì
I need to go to school today.
Need/want/require + V-ing: mang nghĩa bị động (cần được làm gì) Your hair needs cutting (tĩc của bạn cần được cắt ngắn).
The grass needs cutting. The grass wants cutting.
Be used to + V-ing: quen với việc gì (ở hiện tại).
I’m used to getting up early (tơi quen với việc dậy sớm).
Used to + V: thường làm gì trong quá khứ (bây giờ khơng làm nữa).
I used to get up early when I lived in Bac Giang (tơi thường dậy sớm khi tơi sống ở Bắc Giang).
Advise/ allow/ permit/ recommend + object + to V: Khuyên/cho phép/đề nghị ai làm gì
He advised me to apply at once. They don't allow us to park here.
Advise/ allow/ permit/ recommend + Ving: Khuyên/ cho phép/ đề nghị làm gì
He advised applying at once. They don't allow parking here.
V. Động từ theo sau các động từ dưới đây là V0 :

VI. Theo sau động từ chỉ giác quan là to V hoặc Ving
See / hear/ smell/ feel/ notice/ watch + object + V-ing: Cấu trúc này được sử dụng khi người nĩi chỉ chứng kiến một phần của hành động:
I see him passing my house everyday.
She smelt something burning and saw smoke rising.
See / hear/ smell/ feel/ notice/ watch + object + V(nguyển thể khơng cĩ 'to'): Cấu trúc này được sử dụng khi người nĩi chỉ chứng kiến tồn bộ hành động:
We saw him leave the house.

B. Passive 
Passive infinitive : To do => to be done 
 To be going to do => to be going to be done 
Used to do => used to be done 
 To have to do => to have to be done 
To like sb to do => to like to be done 
To want sb to do st => to want st to be done 
 To advise , recommend, urge, order + Direct Object + Infinitive + Object => advise, . That Sb should be done 
 Eg. He urged that the council to reduce the rates. => He urged that the rates should be reduced.
 The council was/ were urged to reduce the rates.
Passive Gerund (V- ing.) V-ing => BEING DONE / HAVING BEEN DONE.
Chu y: + They suggested banning advertisements for cigarettes on TV.
 => They suggested that advertisements for cigarettes should be banned on TV.
 + NEED + Ving / to be done .
