Introduction
a Revise numbers 1-20 by counting around the class. Start the game yourself. Say One, then point to the child nearest you to say Two. The next child says Three, and so on. When you reach 20, start again.
a Use flashcards 90 - 99 to introduce the new numbers. Hold up the cards one at a time and say the words and phrases for children to repeat. Hold up the cards in a different order for children to say the numbers again.
Development
aRecording 88: Play the first part of the recording for children to point to the pictures and say the words. Play the second part of the recording for children to repeat the words. Play the recording all the way through again for children to listen and point and then repeat. Hold up flashcards 90 - 99 one at a time for individual children to say the words. 
aRecording 79: Use the song worksheet (without opening the Class Book) where children listen and fill in the correct words. After that ask children to sing along with the CD and then sing together without the CD audio. 
aSing and do: Divide the class into ten groups and give each group one
of the flashcards 10-100. Play the recording for children to sing and do the actions. Swap the cards around and play the song again. Children do new actions for their new number.
Consolidation
 aGame: Play a game of Bingo (see page 21) using the numbers from this lesson.

Introduction
a Ask ten children to come to the front of the class. Give each one a different number flashcard and ask them to stand in the correct order. Say the numbers with the class. As each number is said, the person holding that flashcard takes a step forward and then back again.
Development
aExercise 1: Ask children to open their workbook at the page 66. Ask them to read the words and write the equivalent numbers. Ask them to work in pairs and say the numbers.
aExercise 2: Ask children to look back to Exercise 1 and write the number words in the correct order.

aExercise 3: Children look at the pictures and write the numbers. They then work in pairs and say the number words (twenty- one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty- four, twenty- five, twenty- six, twenty- seven, twenty- eight, twenty- nine, thirty). Ask children to work in groups of 4- 6 and do the same with thirty-one, forty-one, fifty-one, , ninety-one children say the numbers in chorus.
Consolidation
aCut and make: Divide the class into pairs. Give each pair a copy of the PMB page 41, some scissors, glue, and card. Children complete the board and counters for the game in their pairs following the instructions in the PMB teaching notes, then go on to play the game together.

Introduction
aPlay Bingo again to revise numbers 1- 100.
Development
aPicture Dictionary: Ask children open their Workbooks to p.72 (Number 9, Food things). Tell them to look at the pictures, point and say the words. E.g. cheese sandwich, chicken, fries, milkshake, pizza, salad. Children then work in pairs and talk about food. E. g. Have you got a milkshake? Yes, I have. / No, I haven’t.
aWriting Exercise 1: Children do the exercise 1 from the Extra writing worksheet. Ask them to look at the pictures, write the words and find them in the word search. Children then work in pairs, compare the answers.
aWriting Exercise 2: Ask children work in pairs and write in the missing numbers. Ask them to say the number words together.
aWriting Exercise 3: Children look at the pictures and complete the sentences. They then work with a partner, ask and answer about the food the boy or the girl has got.
2 Has he got fries? No, he hasn’t. 3 Has he got a milkshake? Yes, he has.
4 Has she got an apple? Yes, she has. 5 Has she got a salad? No, she hasn’t.
Consolidation
aSpeaking and writing extension: Ask children to sit in groups of 4. Each child talks about their favorite food. E. g. I’ve got a milkshake and salad. The other children listen to him and report. E. g. He’s got a milkshake and salad. Children take turns to talk about themselves for their friends to report. Ask children to write sentences about themselves and about their friends.

Introduction
a Play the CD Track 81 and say the chant from Class Book page 61 to energize the class and revise the sounds that a, e, i, o, and u make in the middle of words. (/ỉ/, /e/, /i/, /o/, / u/)
a Teach the sounds and letters for this lesson using the phonics cards. Elicit to teach /gr/. Say the sound again for children to repeat. Repeat the procedure with br and fr. Hold up each card in turn and say the words for children to repeat.
Development
aRecording 90: Play the first part of the recording for children to listen and point to the pictures. Play the second part of the recording for children to repeat the sounds and words in chorus. Play the recording all the way through for children to point to the words and then repeat them. 
aRecording 91: Play the recording for children to listen to the chant. Play the chant once more, stopping the CD after each line for children to repeat.
aExercise 3: Ask children to look at the chant again. Ask a child to come to the front and circle the gr in grapes and br in bread. Ask children to read the rest of the chant and circle the other examples. Listen again and check.
 aRecording 92: Ask children to look at the pictures. Model the first one to elicit /gr/. Play the recording for children to write in the other missing sounds and complete the words. Go through the answers.

Consolidation
aPhonics activity: Divide the class into 3 big groups. Assign each group one of the sounds gr/ br/ fr. Ask each group to find more words with the sound.
