Introduction
a Sing What's in the classroom? from page 44 to warm the class up. 
aEncourage children to retell the last story. Ask What are the new things in the classroom? Do the children like the new things? What is Rosy's new thing?
a Use flashcards 64- 69 to elicit the vocabulary for this lesson. Hold them up one at a time and ask children how people feel. Mime to express the meaning of the new words. Hold the flashcards up in a different order and repeat
Development
aRecording 65: Ask children to look at the pictures that show the different feelings and emotions. Play the first part of the recording for children to listen and point to the appropriate picture. Play the second part of the recording, pausing after each word for children to repeat. Play the recording all the way through for children to listen and point and then repeat the words. 
aRecording 66: Play the recording and teach the chant. Play the recording a second time for children to repeat the words in the gaps in the chant. Repeat (if necessary). Children say the chant as a class, without the recording.
aListen and read. Use Story poster 7. Encourage predictions about the story from different members of the class. Play the recording for them to listen and point to the speech bubbles in their Class Books. Check comprehension, e.g. Are the babies hot / hungry? Do the babies eat the apples? Do they like the apples?
Consolidation
a Extra Activity 1 PMB p. 28: Put children in pairs. Give each pair a copy of Extra Activity 1 Worksheet from PMB. Ask them to read and match each sentence to the picture showing appropriate feeling or emotion. Check the class as a whole.

Introduction
aShow the feelings flashcards 64- 69. Ask children to look at the actions and facial expressions of the children in the pictures. Call out different emotions for children to copy the actions and expressions, e.g. for sad children rub their eyes and pretend to cry.
aDivide the class into six groups - one for each feeling or emotion. Play the chant again. Children say the words and mime the actions. 
Development
aExercise 1: Ask children to look at the pictures carefully, match the words to the picture with suitable feeling or emotion. Children then work in pairs to compare their works.

aExercise 2: Ask children to look at the pictures, identify the feelings or emotions of the persons in those pictures and write the suitable word to complete each sentence. Children then sit in pairs, compare the answers and practice saying the words.
2 She’s hungry. 3 He’s sad. 4 He’s cold. 5 She’s hot. 6 She’s thirsty.
aWriting: Teach She’s He’s. Write sentences 1 and 2 from Exercise 2 on the board. Elicit to teach He’s/ She’s. Ask children to sit in pairs, talk about the feelings or emotions of the persons in the pictures. 
Consolidation
aMiming: Play a miming game. Put children in groups of 6- one for each feeling or emotion (hot, cold, hungry, thirsty, happy, sad). Children take turns to mime the feelings or emotions for other children to make sentences. E.g. The first child rubs his eyes and pretends to cry. Other group members say He’s sad. Ask children continue till all of them finish their miming.
