Introduction
a Play Musical cards using the song from page 44 and school things flashcards
aAsk children what they can remember about Peter’s school. Encourage them to describe Peter’s school in as much detail as they can. Ask Where's Peter's
classroom? What's in Peter's school? Ask them to open their books and check.
Development
aRecording 64: Tell children that they are going to hear a recording of a girl describing the people and things in her classroom. Play the recording the whole way through. Continue playing, pausing after each description for children to number the people and things. Play the recording again for children to complete their answers. (clockwise from left) 5,4,6,2, 1,3
aExercise 2: Model the dialogue. Ask a pair of children to read the dialogue. Children work in pairs, take turns to ask and answer questions to describe things in a classroom. How many are there? There is/ are. What color are/ is? They’re/ It’s .Ask some pairs to talk before the class.
a Exercise 3: Elicit to show when to use capital letters (at the start of the sentences and at the start of the names). Children look at the exercise in their books. Ask them to underline the capital letters at the start of the sentences and circle the capital letters at the start of the names. Go through the answers.
Consolidation
a Spelling Quiz: Put pupils in teams. Nominate a ‘secretary’ in each group who will actually write the words, although make it clear that all members in the team are responsible for helping to spell the words. Read all the words out (on the second page) one by one and afterwards teams can correct each others, and you can elicit the spelling from the entire class.

Introduction
aBoard game: Give each pair of children a copy of board game In my classroom. Ask them to talk about classroom objects, using the target language. When one of the children moves to the Finish. The game is over.
Development
aExercise 1: Remind children of the capital letters at the start of the sentences and at the start of the names. Ask them write the sentences again with capital letters. Go through the answers with the whole class.
aExercise 2: Ask children What’s in your classroom? Children then read the words and circle the things in their classroom. Go through the answers.
E.g. tables, chairs, board, cupboard, drawers, computer, window, door, pegs, boys, girls, teachers.
aExercise 3: Ask children to draw their classroom and write sentences about it. Children then work in pairs, describe the things they have in their classroom. 
E.g. This is my classroom. This is the window. These are books. That is a board.
Consolidation
aValues: Give a copy of the Values worksheet (PMB p. 23) to each student. Ask them to look at each pair of pictures and tick the tidy one or cross the messy one. Encourage them to state a reason.
They then draw a poster to encourage their friends to keep the classroom tidy. They then work in pairs, describe things in the classroom, using This/ That is These/ Those are (E.g. This is my classroom. This is the door. These are books. That is a board.). Encourage them to explain why they need to keep their classroom tidy. Ask some children to describe their classroom before the class.

Introduction
aPlay Hangman. Choose a word from the last 3 units and draw lines to represent each letter on the board. Tell children they can guess letters to fill in the word. If they are right you will write the letter in the correct place, if they are wrong you will draw a part of the hangman picture (or any picture you choose). If the picture is completed before they have guessed the word, they lose, if they can guess the word before the picture is finished, they win.
Development
aReview activities: Tell children they have 15 minutes to complete all the exercises, working in pairs. When they have finished they can change their books with another pair and correct each other’s as you check the answers with the whole class.

Consolidation
aGame: Play Bingo. Showing flashcards to elicit the words they’ve learnt and write up about 20 on the board. Ask children to draw a bingo grid in their notebooks. Ask them to choose nine words and write one word in each box. Describe the words for children to listen and cross it off if they have it in their grid. The first child to have three words across, down or diagonally calls out Bingo! They are the winner if the words are correct.

Introduction
aPlay Order the letters. Show the class a flashcard and elicit the word. Hide the card. Write the jumbled-up letters of that word on the board, followed by the correct number of lines for the number of letters. Call children to come to the board to write one letter at a time to complete the word. Repeat with different vocabulary from the flashcards.
Development
aReview activities: Photocopy and cut up the activities on p.48 & 49 of the Workbook. Have a copy of each exercise for each group of 4 children. Put children into groups of four. Hand out exercise 1 and give students 3 minutes to complete the activity together. When completed, ask them to pass their worksheet to another group of children to correct. Check the answers together as a class. The children then pass it back to the original group. Do this with the first four exercises, children completing them in groups one at a time and correcting each other’s.
Ask children to prepare the fifth exercise in 5 minutes. Children write about themselves. Ask some of the children to talk about themselves before the class.
Consolidation
aGame: Play a miming game. Shuffle all of the flashcards. Ask one student to come out to the front of the class and secretly show them one flashcard. They must mime that word to the whole class. The first child to guess the word correctly can then come out and mime the next word.
