Introduction
aWarm up: Give out the flashcards 61 - 70 to 10 children. Ask the children to put the flashcard on their head so you can see it. Shout out the words. When the children with the flashcards hear their word they stand up and then sit down when they hear it again.
Development
aAsk the children to look at the pictures in exercise 1 on page 57. Ask questions about the pictures e.g. What are the people doing in each picture? Write their answers on the board.
aRecording 77: Play the recording and ask the children to listen and shout out when they hear the words or sentences on the board.
a Recording 77: Play the track again and stop after the first item and show the 1 in photo 2. Continue the track, pausing after each item for the children to write the numbers next to the correct picture.
a Recording 77: Play the track again for the children to check their answers.
aSpeaking: exercise 2: Give an example with one child by pointing to a photo and asking, What’s the boy doing? Ask the children to work in pairs and continue taking it in turns to ask and answer. 
aWriting: The children do exercise 3.
Consolidation
aWriting: Spelling quiz: Put the children into teams of 4. Give each team a hand out – the spelling quiz. Ask the children to choose a name write it on the top of the hand out. Read out the words one by one from page 2 and the teams have to spell the words correctly on their hand out. Teams change hand outs and check each other’s spelling as you write them on the board.
